The question is not IF a hard drive is going to fail, it is WHEN a hard drive is going to fail. Hard drives spin at a minimum rate of 5200 rpm the entire time your computer is working. Over a period of years, the natural progression of things dictates that the drive will fial. When that happens, make certain your data is protected.
